Life is better in flip flops with a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee shirt

Flash forward a couple of years, and I saw Santa Claus (who had loudly “Ho-Ho-Ho’d” his way into the bank and handed-out candy canes) later climb into a red convertible and drive-off. Watching the adult laughter (and lame explanations) when I asked what happened to the reindeer and sleigh made me again realize that adults can be a bunch of lying assholes (again, I learned the sentiment well before the word). Anyhow, that event was the straw that broke the camel’s back, and thus began a lifelong trend of stubbornly questioning authority (not a particularly great idea back in the days when men routinely beat their wives, and everyone could beat a kid whenever they felt like it—“good old days” indeed).
