Years ago, when I was growing up, my dad was the bar manager at Mama's, so we would get periodic comped meals. At the time, the menu was derivative, but the execution was good. I've eaten there several times since, and the trend has been: quality generally (and steadily) improving, but still obviously more highlighting the ingredients, not the artistry of a chef. The best I can summarize is, is skilled, but not artistically brilliant, preparation of the absolutely highest quality, freshest seafood you'll ever find, in a spectacular setting, worth the price tag to you? It's no French Laundry, but it's not French Laundry expensive, either, and unless you've got a kitchen in your condo, are good enough not to ruin the fish, and happen to be lucky enough to find a fisherman selling his fresh catch off the side of a road or near a landing, this is the best you're going to get.
