But on pretzel day? Well, I like pretzel day. This is one I make. The malt syrup and the baking soda/water bath are key. These are awesome. I make the whole recipe but freeze them after shaping and when I want them just pull out of the freezer, pop in a small pan of boiling soda water and pop in the oven and they’re ready to eat..oh yum.  Aunt Annie’s pretzels are disgusting and so is this recipe. Real pretzels are nothing but flour, water, yeast, salt, and butter.
